- Texas Chainsaw Massacre
Did any of you guys see the new Gatsby movie? How about did any of you watch Meatballs???
Yes! It's here once again, the Quote Game Extravaganza! So this time will be twice as big and hopefully twice as tricky! (I threw in a couple easy ones!) :) Leave me your guesses in the comments!
- "For someone who was never meant for this world...I must confess I'm suddenly having a hard time leaving it. Of course, they say every atom in our bodies was once part of a star. Maybe I'm not leaving. Maybe I'm going home."
- "The miles will fly and your children won't cry, if you play car bingo."
- "That must be Nigel with the brie."
- "I know that's your camera, sir, but technically, that's my film."
- "Where's my tea!?"
- "Just hoping."
- "Face it, girls, I'm older and I have more insurance."
- "And what does that make me? Saint Francesca, patron saint of horny teenagers?"
- "Your only job is to cook. Do you not realize I have had diarrhea since Easters? "
- "Gee, I'm really sorry your mom blew up, Ricky, guess she won't be able to eat any spicy foods for awhile."
- "You-you're the guys that think this shit up! I'm sure you got a team of men sitting around somewhere right now just thinking shit up and somebody backing them up! You're telling me you don't have a backup plan, that these eight boy scouts right here, that is the world's hope, that's what you're telling me?"
- "A toll is a toll, and a roll is a roll. And if we don't get no tolls, then we don't eat no rolls. I made that up."
- "I think... no, I am positive... that you are the most unattractive man I have ever met in my entire life. You know, in the short time we've been together, you have demonstrated EVERY loathsome characteristic of the male personality and even discovered a few new ones. You are physically repulsive, intellectually retarded, you're morally reprehensible, vulgar, insensitive, selfish, stupid, you have no taste, a lousy sense of humor and you smell. You're not even interesting enough to make me sick. "
- "We are having macaroni tonight, that means garlic bread, YES!!!!"
- "First we'll make snow angels for a two hours, then we'll go ice skating, then we'll eat a whole roll of Tollhouse cookie dough as fast as we can, and then we'll snuggle."
- "Do I really look like a guy with a plan? You know what I am? I'm a dog chasing cars. I wouldn't know what to do with one if I caught it! You know, I just... do things."
- "Everything's going to change now isn't it?"
- "And cause I was a gazillionaire, and I liked doing it so much, I cut that grass for free."
- "My sister had a baby and I took it over because she passed away and then the baby lost all its legs and it's arms and now its nothing but a stump, but I still take care of it with my wife and... and its growing and its fairly happy."
- "How could a billion Chinese people be wrong?"
I'm back!
After a long (long -_-) week of Vacation Bible School my family and I took a trip down to Omaha to go to the Omaha Zoo!
This was my first time to Nebraska... and to be honest with you it sure looked a lot like Minnesota! :)
I would like to say that the zoo was unbelievably amazing. I was not sure what to expect but it was not that!
By this point you are probably wondering how any of this relates to movies.
Well you see we headed down to Omaha on Friday and we were going tot he zoo on Saturday so we had some time to blow. We spent about three hours just driving around downtown Omaha.
As a last ditch effort to waste some time we ended up at a mall. Now it is fair to assume that when you walk into a mall you will be faced with loads of crowds and tons of stores to choose from. Well this mall was defiantly not was we expected.
My fellow zombie fanatics understand that popular zombie movies have a variety of settings to choose from. Zombies tend to frequent prim real estate such as animal testing facilitates, government bases, empty warehouses, and of course malls.
As we entered the parking lot of the mall there was instantly a creepy feeling in the air. Why you ask? Well, there were about ten cars in the entire parking lot... we figured there just had to be another parking lot in the back, no big deal. Then we got into the mall....
There wear about fifteen stores in total that were open in the whole mall. A Japanese store, Taekwondo studio, costume rental store, Halloween store, a Target, and a Sears... There were a few more but those honestly were the only ones we looked at long enough to remember. There was of course the usual kiosk ally... three kiosks all manned by the same, very board looking man.
And let's not forget the twenty other lonely people wandering aimlessly in the ghost mall, all of whom I think only stayed for the same reason as my family. They stayed simply because they could not believe the fact that it was so empty. Because how many malls have you been in where they have to close off the entire second floor do to lack of mall goers?
Now as we were walking around all that was running through my mind was: "wow, I thought zombie movies were exaggerating when it came to abandoned malls..." Let me tell you guys, I will never doubt them again.
Now, if the whole abandoned building wasn't creepy enough imagine my surprise when we rounded a corner and saw a whole store front full of manikins dressed up like non other than: ZOMBIES...
That's right the costume store was having a sale on their zombie costumes.... *covers face* ha-ha
To spare you the agony of reading on I wont go into details about the trip my mom and I took to the bathroom, take a mental note: never drink too much right before entering a zombie infested, cant pay for non flickering light bulbs mall, okay?
Ha-ha, seriously guys, the directors of zombie movies know their stuff :)
Watch on
With the end of the school year fast approaching I feel like I should let you guys in on a little secret of mine. That's right I'm spilling my guts so lean in close and cover the screen from passer byers. *whispers* I have a tradition, but don't tell anyone okay?
:) Ha-ha for serious now, at the end of every school year for as far back as I can remember my family and I sit back and watch a movie. Not any movie mind you, a movies that is very special to our hearts.
This particular movie is about summer camp. Camp North Star. WARNING this is an older movie (which of course makes it better) so be on the look out for all the oldie stuff, okay? There will be plenty.
The movie follows a group of CIT's (councilors in training), a young boy who doesn't want to be at camp, and the head councilor, Tripper. Tripper is played by Bill Murry, so you know this movie is going to be a side splitter!
I want to point out that I have seen this movie well over 30 times so I watch it more for the funny things in the background. It's filmed at a real summer camp, they have real life KIDS playing the KIDS. So things happen that might not have been written in the script.
The movie is funny and inspirational and I honestly count think of a better way to start my summer out. Without this movie my summer wouldn't even be able to officially begin.
You guys should check it out! There is comedy, romance, and inspiration all wrapped up in this summer camp experience!
Join the tradition, watch on!
OH! By the way the movie is called Meatballs :)

Hey all, only one more week until schools out! Woot! Woot! As you might guess it was yet another busy week, so I watched... one movie >_<
But either way here it is:
Safety Not Guaranteed
:) Now that I think about it, that's kind of obvious since I did a post about that :) ha-ha, okay...
Did you guys watch any good movies this week?
Is everyone excited for the new Great Gatsby movie!? I am! I just finished reading the book for my Literature class so I'm all ready for Gatsby!
Alright, have a great weekend guys! Watch on!
Yesterday after going for a walk my parents and I decided to treat ourselves to a movie. We were just about to walk about of their with a movie called Waiting for Forever (which looks super cute) until mom caught sight of a movie we saw previews for that we had been wanting to watch for a couple months now. The movie is called Safety Not Guaranteed. (Sorry Waiting for Forever, we will get you next time! ^.^)
So the movie starts out with a young girl (named Darius) spilling her life story to a man who is interviewing her for a waitress job, needless to say she didn't get the job. She needed the job because she is interning and making no money for how hard she working.
At a meeting discussing new story ideas (she is interning at a magazine), one man suggests they do a story on a crazy guy (named Kenneth), who advertised needing a partner to go to the future with him. In his advertisement he explains that you would need to bring your own weapons and that safety is not guaranteed. :)
So the man who suggested the story takes two interns, Darius and a young Indian boy. The girl ends up training to go to the future and making great friends with this supposedly crazy man. She gets into some bizarre situation including running from federal agents and plundering a medical facility. The whole time she is still leaking information back to the writer; however, every day she gets more and more attacked to this eccentric man.
One quote that really stuck out to me from this movie was:
Kenneth: "To go it alone or to go with a partner? When you choose a partner, you have to have compromises and sacrifices, but it's a price you pay. Do I want to follow my every whim and desire as I make my way through time and space? Absolutely. But at the end of the day, do I need someone when I'm doubting myself and I'm insecure and MY heart fails me? Do I need someone, who when the heat gets hot, has my back?"
Darius: "Sooo... Do you?"
Kenneth: "I do."
I hope you guys give this movie a chance, it's a little slow at parts, but it is most defiantly worth it!

Hey guys! So basically the last few weeks have gone by faster than any this school year! I went to Prom, the festival of nations and couple more minor events ranging from painting a castle from vacation bible school to writing club at the library. basically it was a fun couple of weeks.
Now because it's been so long and I've been a bit lazy with my records I'm sure I will be leaving a few movies out, but here are the one's I've got!
- Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets
- Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban
- Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire
- Harry potter and the Order of the Phoenix
- Ghost town (X 2)
- Zoolandar
- 28 Days Later
- Indiana Jones (I'm not sure which one)
- My cousin Vinnie
- Shark Tales
- The Crucible
- Pretty in Pink
- Iron Man III
By the way Iron Man III was great! I've never seen the first one but I have seen the second (and now the third) and yeah, it's just a really good action movie!
Alright, hopefully I'll be back soon! until then, watch on!
