Kiki's Delivery Service

Have you ever loved something to death but you just couldn't do it? Take drawing for instance, say you just love, love, love to draw, you do it every day. Then one day, you don't know what to draw.  You're scared, for your entire life you have been planning on going to get a degree in art... but now you don't know any more.

No matter what age you are, at times it can be difficult to find inspiration. This is what happens to Kiki, the main character of today's movie.  Kiki is a young witch who has to go out on her own for a year to complete her training.  At her age most witches already have a special skill that they are focusing on perfecting. Sadly the only skill Kiki has is flying, and she cant even do that well!

After Kiki and her trusty cat, Jiji, settle in a small town beside the sea she opens a quaint delivery service (hence the name Kiki's Delivery Service).  Kiki meets many people through her delivery service including: an artist whose lost her inspiration, an older woman who is shut out of her granddaughters life, and a young boy who will eventually grow to be her closest friend.

Right as her business is starting to boom Kiki suddenly losses her ability to fly!  She will have to look deep within herself and remember why she started training in the first place, and if she truly wants to continue.

I would strongly recommend watching this film.  The movie is a product of Japanese film maker Hayao Miyazaki from Studio Ghibli.  It may sound childish; however, it was crafted for all ages. Check it out guys and tell me what you think!

Until next time: Watch on!
