High Treason to the 3D
Hey guys, so I'm sitting here with my family watching The Following on Fox and a commercial for Jurassic Park 3D comes on. -_- Finding Nemo, Titanic, and now Jurassic Park. Where has the creativity in the movie world gone? Can people not come up with any original content anymore?
Am I alone in my frustration? Or do you guys think that 3D remakes should be convicted with high treason? What are your guy's thoughts?

Quote Game Extravaganza Part:1
Hey guys! So today we are going to play a little game! I'll say a quote and you tell me what movie you think it's from in the comments! So it's pretty simple, just remember that I'll be posting the answers in about a week , sound good?
- "Liver alone! HAHAHA.... Liver, it's a joke."
- "Did you know that there are four hundred and fifty-two official government cheeses in this country? Don't you think that's incredible? To come up with four hundred and fifty-two ways of classifying what is basically a bacterial process?"
- "Screws just fall out all the time, the world is an imperfect place."
- "You must be the short depressed kid we ordered."
- "Heeeeeere's Johnny!"
- "Just when I thought you couldn't possibly be any dumber, you go and do something like this... and totally redeem yourself!"
- "When you're old, all you want to do is stare at the scenery. It's so strange. I've never felt so peaceful before."
- "Well, I gotta go. My mom thinks I'm at the pet store looking at kittens."
- "Sometimes I wonder about my life. I lead a small life - well, valuable, but small - and sometimes I wonder, do I do it because I like it, or because I haven't been brave? So much of what I see reminds me of something I read in a book, when shouldn't it be the other way around? I don't really want an answer. I just want to send this cosmic question out into the void. So good night, dear void."
- "How can we be expected to teach children to learn how to read if they can't even fit inside the building?"

It's Not a Problem, It's a Passion
In preparation for my sister and her family moving into our house, my family and I moved all of our movies upstairs to the guest bedroom. My mom asked me to count all the movies while I was alphabetizing them. I was excited... at first. See we have a habit of looking through the five dollar movie bin at Wal-Mart... so we've acquired an ample supply of movies.
The final tally was as follows:
What do you think, Passion or Problem? :)
The final tally was as follows:
- 8 VHS
- 387 DVD
- total: 386 movies

Extreme Bird Watching
This week while my family and I scoured the aisles of our local movie rental store I took a chance on a movie that none of us had seen before. What made this movie catch my eye out of all the others? It was the three men on the front cover. Jack Black, Steve Martin, and Owen Wilson. A match made in comedy Heaven.
The movie is mostly centered around Jack Black's character who is divorced, living with his parents, and hates his job. He decides that this is the year he will do his 'Big Year' (the 'big year' as many birdwatchers know is when in one calendar year you try to see as many bird species as you can). Steve Martin's character is newly retired and also is attempting his big year for he fears he might not have many years left. Lastly Owen Wilson's character, who is the defending world champion for the most species seen in a big year, is trying to beat his old record.
The three of them run into each other all around the country while looking for birds. Two of the characters are a little more friendly than the third and they find more joy in searching for the birds. The least friendly one will loose something this years while he is taking on the big year, something that he wont ever be able to replace. He lost sight of his passion for bird watching because he got so focused on finding the most species, but winning is not everything, as the other two characters learn.
This movie was surprisingly inspirational (It was surprising because the actors are notorious for their funny movies) and is jam packed with witty humor and numerous familiar faces form popular T.V. shows including The Office and The Big Bang Theory. I hope you guys check out this movie! Leave a comment telling me what you thought and what your favorite part was!
Until next time, watch on. (OH! P.S. the movie is called: The Big Year)
